Middle School Questions for Performance Pathways

1. When will it replace curriculum writing?

2. How is all of the data going to be entered?

3. When will the teachers who signed up for early access get their passwords?

4. Will we have "due dates" for particular components/columns throughout next school year?

5. How will Learning Support Teachers use this program?

6. The daily calendar doesn’t reset itself when trying to add a second lesson. You need to click out of it once and sometimes twice and then go to another day and finally come back to it. Then, you need to select the lesson box and add the next lesson on that day. Is there any easier way to do this?

7. Is there a way to have the program load faster? There is too much wait time between managing calendar tabs.

8. Is freezing a problem for others while using the program?

9. Will the company be posting information on when tabs are down or maintenance will be happening like in e-school?

10. Can we map using anchors in place of standards? (math, reading)

11. Is it important to have subunits? Is this something that should be consistent across the department?

12. Should resources on the map be general or specific to your teaching style?

13. How important is it to link your assessments to your standards? This may mean that you have the same assessment on your map for many subunits.

14. Will we be using the calendar in the future? There seem to be many problems with this feature. If so, can it be set up by periods the timing of the periods rather than each hour.

15. When will core mapping begin and how will that process take place?

Elementary Questions for Performance Pathways


1. Who will load PSSA scores and data from three years prior to the start of use since we will want a three-yr. cumulative data-base?

2. Do we need to Diary Map? (Elem) Is that necessary, given how much conformity we have at K-4 level?

3. Specialists don’t have “manuals”; do we depend on what we can find from other districts?

4. Could we have elementary core entry, consensus with grade level, then diary for modifications?

5. Committee needs Science lessons and chapter designations that were established at the time of adoption.

6. RTI- The data tracker is important to get RTI in place.

7. How best could Elem. have access?

8. Will we diary during in-services?

9. Could an aide enter the standards (?), etc., from the teacher’s manual?

10. Do we really need to diary mapping when we already meet and work together?

11. How is this an effective use of a professional’s time to copy a TE?

12. Could we have rollover each year?

13. If parents work at other districts can they get on to BHASD and pull off tests/quizzes? Make it available to community?

14. When will data entry occur?

15. We have more papers to correct, more grades to enter.. Report cards are very time consuming.

16. Is it the expectation that each teacher will diary daily on what has been completed that experiment – Answer parent e-mails – lesson plans – type adapted tests, - create grammar tests – correct papers, Xerox, laminate, etc… ?? Time for diary maps.

17. Why should 5 teachers input diary map? You know elementary has already implemented being on the same page, same lesson. One per implement one subject, not the same lessons.

18. Remember elementary is teacher all day long. When students do paper/pencil tasks we are.

20. Do specialist have to do all 5 grade levels at same time?

21. Is there a place to document services teacher has attempted to help the student who falls through the cracks? Currently, report-cards do not show accommodations across the year.

22. Can we have more prep time to work on this?

25. When am I going to have time to do this? Right now I have 40 minutes to plan, set up, grade tests and write lessons. I want to teach not enter data. Can we start with 1 subject…

26. Where do we get the science curriculum that Kellen wrote? Who has it?

29. Circulating helping “those” students. When children take a test, we are reading to a student(s).

30. We have more parent contact at elementary, which need to be addressed immediately. We deal with behavior issues and socialization issues more frequently.

40. Can the lessons be printed out from this program? This way you could do you planning here and collect (?) it in a planbook.

45. How does this fit into Direct Instruct in Special Ed.?
